The data set we used is from a study aimed at understanding the motives behind why people would choose to donate their personal data. The concluding result was that people mostly donate for altruistic reasons.

The data set was from a survey, it has all the statements, the category the statement belongs to, and what proportion of participants agreed with the statement. Slices with 2 types of shapes correspond with statements that belonged to 2 categories.

We decided on a data sculpture that shows how the agreement percentage for each statement varies. We chose to use clear acrylic to represent the transparency of data. The acrylic slices can be removed from the base to see what the statement it corresponds to.
